Tiger, zebra stripes, and snake skin finishes were a major factor in the visual impact of ’80s hard rock, and now Badlands Guitar Company is pumped to unveil our latest creation: the GX1 Hellcat! The Hellcat is our most ambitious finish to date and pays homage to one of the most unforgettable finishes of 80s rock guitars.

The Hellcat showcases a unique, breathtaking hand-painted two-tone finish that shifts from metallic bronze to pearl white adorned with leopard spots across an alder body. We then add a quartersawn three-piece maple bolt-on neck, finished in sleek black gloss and an ebony fingerboard inlaid with a special “cat’s eye” marker at the 12th fret, making this guitar standout on any stage.
The Hellcat also introduces our brand new M89 pickup in the bridge position, delivering an aggressive growl that evokes some of the most sought-after high-performance pickups of the ’80s. It is also BGC’s first three-pickup guitar; two M81 single coils, specially designed to pair perfectly with the M89 humbucker. Using a five-way rotary switch, another first for BGC, the Hellcat provides a wide range of tones perfect for hard rock and beyond.

BGC has teamed up with the one and only Keeley Electronics to produce a limited-edition, BGC-exclusive pedal: the Keeley Caverns Delay Reverb pedal in a matching Hellcat finish! Every Hellcat instrument will include this exclusive, limited-edition Caverns pedal. The Caverns combines two of our favorite effectsdelay and reverbinto one compact pedal, making it a seamless addition to any rig. It features Keeleys warm, analog-style tape delay with modulation and three different types of reverb (spring, modulation, and shimmer), making it perfect for lifting solos, adding depth and movement to arpeggiated lines, and thickening rhythmic parts.
